Annet Eva Zawedde successfully defends her Phd

On Wednesday, December 12, Annet Eva Zawedde successfully defended her thesis entitled, “The Impact of Energetic Electron Precipitation on Mesospheric Hydroxyl Radical.” While at the Birkeland Centre for Space Science, Annet has been part of the group working on particle precipitation. The group’s leader–and Annet’s Phd advisor–is Dr. Hilde Nesse Tyssøy.

Annet’s defense committee was comprised of Associate Professor Camilla Sætre of the Institute of Physics and Technology (IFT), University of Bergen and opponents Anne K. Smith of the NCAR Earth System Laboratory, Boulder and Dr. Esa Turunen, Director of the Sodankylä Geophysical Observatory, University of Oulu, Finland. The leader of the defense committee was Prof. Emeritus Per Osland of IFT.
