The ASIM launch on Monday April 2nd was a success, and the instrument package is now on its way to the International Space Station.
The image above of the Norwegian ASIM-delegation is taken only 45 minutes before launch at Cape Canaveral, Florida. To the left we see UiB-rector Dag Rune Olsen, followed by Centre Leader Nikolai Østgaard, Senior Exec. Consultant at BCSS Kavitha Østgaard, Senior Manager at the Norwegian Space Centre Marianne Vinje Tantillo, Monica Ullaland and BCSS Professor Kjetil Ullaland, and CEO at IDEAS Gunnar Mæhlum.
